My name is Yovette & I'm glad you joined me today!
I love to paint! My style of teaching is fun and easy to learn, with simple step by step instructions for beginners.
I teach landscapes, seascapes and wildlife. I use water mixable oil, regular oil's and acrylics.
My love of art started in grade school when I got an “A” on a drawing I did of a simple tree. It was just a trunk with some branches and didn't even have any leaves! To my amazement, the teacher put it in the hallway showcase! I would have given myself an “F” but the teacher seemed to find something in my drawing that had promise. And she was right!
Now it is over 25 years that I have been an art teacher and loved every minute of it.
I have been able to start My Magic Brushes Studio where I not only create paintings,
but also have had the privilege to teach many many other people to paint.
One just has to learn that inside every paintbrush there lives bushes, trees, and clouds.
And inside every palette knife there lives rocks, mountains, and cabins.
If you learn how to make those items come out and live on your canvas, the possibilities become endless!
