Good afternoon my friends!
Today I have a really fun little painting that everyone seems to love.
It is great if you love acrylic, oil, abstract, or just creating something different!
This first part will consist of the under painting in acrylic, or gesso.
You can use any size canvas you like.
At the end of the video, I have posted photos of the 2 different ones that I did.
The second session will be adding in beautiful colors.
So grab those brushes, a canvas, and start creating your masterpiece!
It will be fun, you will see!
Have a fantastic day, till next time, Yovette
The second part of Harris Mountain is finished.
Lynn and I had so much fun with this project, him painting a mountain just for me,
and me painting one just for him. It was a challenge project.
This lesson is in Oil, on a 16x20 canvas, and is the Bob Ross wet on wet technique.
At the end of the lesson is the Lynn Harris painting
and also the Bob Ross painting.
Hope you enjoy this project, now get your brushes out and paint along.
A new lesson and something different than I have done before.
This is a 2 part video doing a complete Bob Ross painting.
The Title is "Harris Mountain", and is a challenge painting with my friend Lynn Harris.
We are both doing the same painting, but not revealing our results till done!
A fun project for sure!
So be sure to stay tuned next month for part 2.
You can paint along with me or just watch now and do it later.
Either way, have fun and keep painting! Blessings Yovette
Foothills are a great addition to any landscape where you need to show distance.
Here I show you the easiest way to do it.
Most of it can be accomplished with just a 1" brush and palette knife.
Hope you try this in your next painting, and have fun with it!
Till next time, Happy painting! Yovette
You are wondering, what are happy evergreen trees?
They are simply tree branches that go up instead of down.
It's easy to learn how to do these trees.
Just a lot of practice, and learning the simple moves that create them.
Thank you for joining me today.
I hope you learned something new that you can use.
Happy Painting, Yovette
Painting Tree branches is not so hard once you understand how to do it.
If you are using oil, use thinner to thin the paint.
If you are using acrylic's, use water to thin the paint.
The secret is thinning down the paint to an ink consistency so it spreads easily.
Use this method for painting tree branches, bushes, grasses, sticks and twigs.
Practice this method until it comes easily and you love the results.
Thank you for joining me!
Have a happy painting day!
Hoping your summer was fabulous!
We are having terrible fires here on the West Coast.
The smoke has been really bad for a long time now.
But I was able to get this video made for you.
Painting on a black canvas is so much fun. This particular painting is more of a
seascape, but just doing the clouds, you could change the bottom to be a snowy
winter scene, or you could have mountains and a meadow, or Northern lights, or palm trees on a sandy beach. possibilities are endless.
Hope I was able to show you something new.
Now pick up some brushes and have fun creating your own night scene!
As always, Blessings, Yovette
Now, I have more tips and tricks to share with you.
My Husband has been such a wonderful help in getting me set up.
He is a wonderful wood worker, and so talented and creative.
So he makes a lot of things for me to make my painting life so much easier.
I am so glad I could share all these things with you.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy Painting, Yovette
