Filling in those rock holes for artists who like to paint on rocks!

Birds Nest Surprise, Pt 3, Water Mixable Oil Paint

This is the 3rd and final part of Bird Nest Surprise, adding the color!
Today I am using a new product, Water Mixable Oil Paint!
I love this paint! ? No smell, easily cleans with soap and water.
Dries without being so shiny. Safe for children.
Those are all great reasons to try and use this product.
I have a lot to learn about it because it is so new to me but I'm studying!

Bird Nest Surprise, Pt 2, Sketch & Texture

This is part 2 of Bird Nest Surprise!
First of all we have to put in a sketch using black vine charcoal.
The second thing to be done is to add texture to make tree bark.
This will take a little time, but well worth it.
After watching the video if you want my Texture recipe, just mention it in comments.

Such a fun project! I hope you will find it exciting!
You do not have to add texture. You can just finish by painting if you prefer.
Part 3 will be the last of the series, adding the color.

Bird Nest Surprise, Pt 1, Acrylic Background

This is the 1st part of Birds Nest Surprise, and the most important, the background!
It is done with Acrylic paint, and with my special blend of Medium Extender.
But you can use any slow dry or extender you have, that you may like better!
I will post a link below to my homemade medium.
There will be 2 more parts to this series, doing unusual new things!
It will be fun. Hope you join in!

Be sure to let this first acrylic part dry for 24 hours. It's important.
